Our story begins with a local fishing family and the stilt fishermen of Sri Lanka’s south coast. It lives in recipes passed from mothers to daughters, in coastal traditions shared from fathers to sons, and in the simple pleasure of gathering around a full table.

A collaboration rooted in generations of coastal fishing family heritage, Chez Mom is where the vibrant Weli Road surf pulse meets true Ceylon soul. We bring that family spirit into an open-air coastal sanctuary: a place to slow down, share stories and feel at home in Ahangama.

Our kitchen honours passed-down maternal recipes, giving humble village staples a fresh expression through nourishing, vibrant creations for today’s surfers, nomads and visiting families. Familiar island flavours meet colourful bowls, slow breakfasts and food made to be shared, keeping the South Coast’s culinary roots at the heart of every plate.
